To change the working mode of the HIFIMAN Dock-1 Portable Music Player, you can use the buttons on the dock or the remote control. Here are the steps:
1. Connect the dock to your input/output devices.
2. Connect the power cable to the dock and power it on.
3. Power on the player and insert it into the dock after the main menu shows.
4. To switch to different input modes, you can press the corresponding buttons on the front panel of the dock or use the Mode Switch button on the remote control. The available input modes are Player, Coax Input, Optical Input, and USB DAC.
5. In Player mode, you can play songs on the player and choose between three output modes: Line Out, Coax Output, and Optical Output. You can use the remote control to operate the player, including functions like Forward, Backward, Back, Previous, Enter, Play, Pause, and Next.
6. In Coax Input mode, the player is disabled, and you can play songs by connecting a coax input device. The dock supports line out only in this mode.
7. In Optical Input mode, the player is disabled, and you can play songs by connecting an optical input device. The dock supports line out only in this mode.
8. In USB DAC mode, the player is disabled, and you can play songs on your PC using the dock as a USB DAC. A driver is needed, which can be accessed from the supplied CD or downloaded from the HIFIMAN website. The dock supports line out only in this mode.
9. The coax output and optical output can be accessed only in Player mode.
