To load the paper towels into the Scott 48860 Essential Electronic Towel Dispenser, follow these steps:

1. Open the dispenser cover by using the key that is taped to the back of the dispenser. Insert the key into the two slots at the top of the cover, push down, and pull forward to open the cover.

2. Make sure you are using the correct paper towels for the dispenser. The 48858 and 48860 units are designed to accept Scott Essential® 02001 paper codes.

3. Load the paper roll with the paper "tail" unwinding from the back of the roll. Place the first sheet of paper between the two rollers, close the cover, and initiate a dispense cycle. Refer to the instruction graphics inside the unit for visual guidance.

4. Once the paper is loaded correctly, the dispenser is ready to dispense at the factory set nominal 11-inch paper length. It may take about three dispenses for the dispenser to self-adjust to the nominal paper length.
