To calibrate the Medion MD 12610 Digital diet kitchen scales, follow these steps:
1. Place the scales on a flat and stable surface.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scales.
3. Wait for the display to show "0.0" or "CAL" (calibration mode).
4. Press and hold the UNIT button for a few seconds until the display shows "CAL" and the calibration weight.
5. Place the calibration weight on the scales. The weight should be equal to the maximum capacity of the scales, which is 5kg.
6. The display will show "CAL" and start counting down from 30 to 0. During this time, the scales will automatically calibrate themselves.
7. Once the countdown reaches 0, the scales will show "0.0" again, indicating that the calibration is complete.
8. Remove the calibration weight from the scales.
9. The scales are now calibrated and ready to use.
Note: It is recommended to calibrate the scales periodically to ensure accurate measurements. If you do not have the calibration weight, you can use a known weight of the same value (e.g., a 5kg dumbbell) for calibration.
