To achieve the best performance from your Klipsch RP-600M bookshelf speakers, it is recommended to follow these placement guidelines:
1. Left and Right Main Channel Speakers: Place the speakers 6 to 15 feet (1.8 to 4.6m) apart for optimum performance. You can also toe them in slightly for better stereo imaging. The listening position should be about 1 to 1.5 times the distance separating the speakers.
2. Center Channel Speaker: The center channel speaker is designed to reproduce dialogue and primary sounds, so it should be placed as close to the screen as possible, preferably directly on top of or below the screen.
3. Rear Surround Channel Speakers: Klipsch WDST surround speakers should be placed approximately 2 feet above the listening position, which is typically about 5-7 feet above the floor. The surrounds should be placed on the walls directly adjacent to the listening position or on the wall behind the listening position, depending on your room's characteristics.
For a visual reference, you can refer to Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the instruction guide for connection and placement diagrams.
It's important to note that these placement guidelines are general recommendations, and you may need to adjust them based on your room's acoustics and personal preferences. Experimenting with different speaker positions can help you find the optimal setup for your listening environment.
