According to the instruction manual, the bookshelf speakers should be placed close to the far end of a rectangle-shaped room for the best sound dispersion down its length. It is recommended to allow as much space as possible between the front of the speakers and the wall they are facing in order to lessen reflections. Additionally, bookshelf speakers should often be placed at or slightly above ear level, with the tweeters positioned close to ear level for best results. It is also mentioned that bookshelf speakers should preferably be placed two to three feet apart from the wall to maximize their overall performance. The ideal location for bookshelf speakers is where the air emitted through the ports can reach the surrounding area as rapidly as feasible.
