The Klipsch RP-5000F speakers should be placed approximately two to three feet away from the nearest wall. The closer the speakers are to the wall, the more it will affect the bass response. When the speakers are placed too close to a wall, the frequency response becomes erratic and the bass can sound boomy. To achieve the best sound quality, it is recommended to experiment with the speaker placement, adjusting by a few inches at a time, until the desired balance is achieved. The manual suggests a distance of two to three feet as a general guideline, but individual room characteristics may also play a role in determining the optimal placement.
