The Otofonix Apex amplifier will give you a distinctive beep when the battery is running down. It will alternate between a high and a low pitch four times in quick succession. This is your indication that it's time to change the battery. The Apex uses a zinc air battery, and you can easily replace it with a new one to ensure optimal performance.
