To connect the REL Acoustics T-7i Black Subwoofer to your stereo amplifier, you have two options: high-level connection and low-level connection. Here are the step-by-step instructions for both methods:
High-Level Connection:
1. Locate the high-level Neutrik Speakon connector on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
2. Use two speaker wires to connect the subwoofer's high-level input to the speaker output terminals of your amplifier. Connect the red wire to the amplifier's right positive speaker output terminal, and the yellow wire to the amplifier's left positive speaker output terminal. Connect the black wire to the amplifier's ground output terminal.
3. Insert the Neutrik Speakon plug into the high-level Neutrik Speakon socket on the subwoofer.
4. Adjust the volume control for the high-level input on the subwoofer to achieve the desired output level.
Low-Level Connection:
1. Locate the low-level phono input on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
2. Use a phono-to-phono cable to connect the subwoofer's low-level input to the left or right channel output of your stereo amplifier or preamplifier.
3. Adjust the volume control for the low-level input on the subwoofer to achieve the desired output level.
Note: You can also use the .1/LFE phono input on the subwoofer if you have a home cinema system with a dedicated .1/LFE channel output.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed information and illustrations on connecting the subwoofer to your amplifier.
