To set the alarm on your Sony ICFC414 Clock Radio, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the clock is set correctly. If not, refer to the "Setting the clock and date" section in the user manual.
2. Press the ALARM A or ALARM B button to select the desired alarm program. The ALARM A or ALARM B indicator will light up.
3. The alarm time will appear for a few seconds, and then the ALARM A or ALARM B indicator will light up. If you want to wake up to the buzzer alarm, leave it set to (buzzer). If you want to wake up to the radio, tune in to a station and adjust the volume before proceeding. If you want to wake up to a melody, the default melody is "Spring" from "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Lucio Vivaldi.
4. Press the ALARM TIME SET A or ALARM TIME SET B button to set the desired alarm time. Each press of the button changes the time by 1 minute. If you press and hold the button, the time will change in increments of 10 minutes. The ALARM A or ALARM B indicator will flash while setting the alarm time.
5. Once you have set the alarm time, the display will return to the clock after a few seconds, and the ALARM A or ALARM B indicator will be fully lit.
6. To check the alarm time, press the ALARM TIME SET A or ALARM TIME SET B button once. The alarm time will be displayed for about 4 seconds.
7. To turn off the alarm, press the RADIO OFF/ALARM RESET button. The alarm will come on again at the same time the next day unless you deactivate it by setting ALARM A or ALARM B to OFF.
Note: If the power is interrupted, the alarm functions will continue to work until the backup battery is empty. If the alarm sounds during a power interruption, it will change to the buzzer alarm automatically.
