1. Ensure that you have a SeaTalkng backbone set up with a SeaTalkng power switch, SeaTalkng T-pieces, and SeaTalkng terminators as needed.
2. Locate the SeaTalkng connection panel on the ACU-300 unit. This panel is where you will make the connections to the SeaTalkng backbone.
3. Take the SeaTalkng spur cable from the Evolution SeaTalkng cable kit or a separate SeaTalkng spur cable and connect one end to the SeaTalkng connection panel on the ACU-300 unit.
4. Connect the other end of the SeaTalkng spur cable to the SeaTalkng backbone. This can be done by connecting it to a SeaTalkng T-piece or a SeaTalkng 5-way connector block, depending on your specific setup.
5. Ensure that the SeaTalkng power switch on the ACU-300 unit is set to the appropriate position. If you want the ACU-300 to supply power to the SeaTalkng backbone, set the switch to "ON". If you have a separate power feed to the SeaTalkng backbone, set the switch to "OFF".
6. Verify that all connections are secure and properly seated.
Once the ACU-300 unit is connected to the SeaTalkng backbone, it will be able to communicate with other SeaTalkng devices on the network, such as autopilot control heads and instruments.
