To connect the BIC V-1220 subwoofer to your audio system, you have two options depending on your receiver's capabilities.
Method A: If your receiver has a low-level SUBWOOFER or LFE output jack, you can use a mono interconnect cable with male RCA jacks on both ends. Connect one end of the RCA cable to the SUBWOOFER or LFE output jack on your receiver and the other end to the SUB IN jack on the back of the V-1220 subwoofer. Make sure the subwoofer's CROSSOVER SWITCH is set to "Digital Receiver" and follow your receiver's manual to adjust the subwoofer crossover settings.
Method B: If your receiver does not have a low-level SUBWOOFER or LFE output jack, you can use the high-level inputs on the V-1220 subwoofer. Connect speaker wires from your receiver's main left and right speaker terminals to the HIGH LEVEL INPUTS FROM AMPLIFIER on the subwoofer. Then, connect additional speaker wires from the OUTPUT TO SPEAKERS on the subwoofer to your main left and right speakers. Set the subwoofer's CROSSOVER SWITCH to "Pro Logic Receiver" and adjust the crossover frequency using the CROSSOVER FREQUENCY CONTROL on the back of the subwoofer.
Make sure to turn off all components before making any connections and double-check all connections before powering on your system. For more detailed instructions and illustrations, please refer to the BIC V-1220 subwoofer owner's manual, specifically the "Subwoofer Connection - Method A" and "Subwoofer Connection - Method B" sections.
