To connect the BIC V1020 subwoofer to your audio system, you have two options depending on your receiver's capabilities.
Method A: If your receiver has a low-level SUBWOOFER or LFE output jack, follow these steps:
1. Locate the SUBWOOFER or LFE output connector on the rear of your receiver.
2. Connect one end of an RCA cable to the SUBWOOFER or LFE output jack on your receiver.
3. Route the RCA cable to the subwoofer location and connect the other end to the SUB IN jack on the back of the V1020 subwoofer.
4. Connect your main speakers to the receiver according to the receiver's owner manual.
5. Connect the included power cord to the POWER INPUT on the back of the V1020 subwoofer and plug it into an AC outlet.
6. Set the CROSSOVER SWITCH to "Digital Receiver" position.
7. Turn on your audio system and set the subwoofer volume to blend with the other speakers in your system.
Method B: If your receiver does not have a low-level SUBWOOFER or LFE output jack, follow these steps:
1. Measure and cut speaker wire to the length needed to connect your receiver to the subwoofer and from the subwoofer to your main speakers.
2. Connect two wires from the front left and right main speaker terminals on your receiver.
3. Route the speaker wire to the subwoofer location and connect the wires to the HIGH LEVEL INPUTS FROM AMPLIFIER on the back of the V1020 subwoofer.
4. Connect the remaining speaker wires from the OUTPUT TO SPEAKERS on the subwoofer to your main left and right speakers.
5. Connect the included power cord to the POWER INPUT on the back of the V1020 subwoofer and plug it into an AC outlet.
6. Set the CROSSOVER SWITCH to "Pro Logic Receiver" position.
7. Turn on your audio system and set the subwoofer volume to blend with the other speakers in your system.
