To connect the Kanto CA-TUKW Powered Speaker with Headphone Out to your TV, you can use the optical (S/PDIF) input on the speakers. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Obtain an optical cable (Toslink cable) if you don't already have one.
2. While the speakers are in standby or OFF, plug one end of the optical cable into the optical output on your TV.
3. Plug the other end of the optical cable into the OPT input on the back of the active speaker (the one with the inputs).
4. Turn on your TV and navigate to the audio settings within the on-screen menu. Refer to your TV's manual if you are unsure of how to find the audio settings.
5. Within the audio settings, change the audio output to PCM, stereo, or two channel. This option may be called "Audio Output Mode", "Digital Audio Output Mode", or "Digital Output Audio Format" depending on your TV brand.
6. Turn ON or wake the speakers and select the OPT input using the TUK remote's Input button. You can also cycle through inputs by pressing the xxxx on the front of the speakers.
7. Adjust the volume on the speakers to your desired level.
After following these steps, you should hear the audio from your TV being played through the Kanto CA-TUKW Powered Speaker with Headphone Out. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, refer to the user manual or contact Kanto customer support.
