To connect your QSC K8.2 loudspeaker to a mixer or audio source, follow these steps:
1. Locate the inputs on the back of the loudspeaker. The K8.2 has two combination XLR/1/4" phone jack inputs (Inputs A and B) and one 1/8" TRS jack input (Input C).
2. Determine the type of input you will be using. Inputs A and B can accept both microphone-level and line-level signals, while Input C is designed for line-level stereo input.
3. For Inputs A and B, use an XLR or 1/4" TRS cable to connect the output of your mixer or audio source to the corresponding input on the loudspeaker. Make sure to match the left and right channels correctly.
4. For Input C, use a 1/8" TRS cable to connect the output of your audio source to the Input C jack on the loudspeaker.
5. Adjust the gain controls for each input to set the desired signal level. The gain knobs are located on the back of the loudspeaker next to each input.
6. If you need to daisy-chain multiple loudspeakers or connect to other audio equipment, you can use the pass-through output connectors. The Channel A and Channel B pass-through outputs are located on the back of the loudspeaker.
7. Finally, power on the loudspeaker by pressing the top of the power switch. The blue LED power indicator on the rear panel will illuminate when the AC power is applied.
