The BW Technologies GasAlertClip Extreme 2-Year Detector should be calibrated every 30 days or when the LCD displays "CAL" and the detector life-remaining value. Calibration may also be performed if the O2 detector has not been used recently or is in a false alarm state. To perform the calibration, move to a normal atmosphere that is free of hazardous gas, press and hold the pushbutton for 3 seconds, and follow the instructions provided in the manual. It is important to note that the detector comes pre-calibrated, but regular calibration ensures accurate readings.
