To connect the OSD RX550 Outdoor Rock Speakers to your audio amplifier or stereo receiver, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power is off on your amplifier or receiver before making any connections.
2. Locate the connection terminals on the back of your amplifier or receiver.
3. Take the sealed speaker wire pigtail from the back of the speaker enclosure. The red lead indicates positive signal (+), and the black lead indicates negative signal (-).
4. Remove 2-3 inches of the outer layer of the speaker wire coming out from the source amplifier. Carefully strip 1/2 inch of the insulation covering the speaker conductors within the outer layer.
5. Twist the bare speaker wire leads together and seal with a burial connector. Do not use electrical tape for weatherproofing the wire connection.
6. Connect the speaker cable to the speaker cable terminals on your amplifier or receiver, matching the proper polarity. Connect the positive (+) lead to the positive terminal and the negative (-) lead to the negative terminal. Make sure to connect the right channel to the right speaker and the left channel to the left speaker.
7. Once the connections are made, you can turn on the power to your amplifier or receiver.
Please refer to the OSD RX550 Outdoor Rock Speaker Owner's Manual for more detailed information and diagrams (Diagram 5) on connecting the speakers to your amplifier or receiver.
