To position and connect the Klipsch RP-250C Center Channel Speaker in your home theater system, follow these steps:
1. Room Placement:
- The center channel speaker should be placed as close to the screen as possible, preferably directly on top of or below the screen.
- If placing it below the screen, position it at or close to ear level for optimal sound reproduction.
- If placing it above the screen, make sure it is still close to the screen to maintain audio synchronization.
- Refer to Figures 1, 2, and 3 in the user manual for visual guidance on room placement.
2. Connection:
- Use 16-12 gauge speaker wire to connect the center channel speaker to your amplifier.
- Connect the RED "positive" (+) terminal of the speaker to the RED "positive" (+) terminal of your amplifier's center channel.
- Connect the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of the speaker to the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of your amplifier's center channel.
- Repeat this procedure for connecting all remaining speakers to the appropriate amplifier channels.
- Make sure that no bare wires from any of the connections touch any other terminals to avoid short circuits.
- Reference Premiere models RP-160M are equipped with dual binding posts. If using single wire connection, keep the terminal connecting bar in place. If using bi-wire or bi-amp connection, remove the terminal connecting bar. Refer to your receiver's manual for further instructions.
Please note that the Klipsch RP-250C Center Channel Speaker is designed to reproduce dialogue and primary sounds in movies and TV shows. While it can still deliver top-notch audio on its own, it may not be suitable for playing music. Additionally, the speaker's size should be chosen based on your room and setup requirements, and it is recommended to position it centered above or below the display for optimal performance.
