To connect the Klipsch RP-500M-II bookshelf speakers to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the appropriate gauge speaker wire (16-12 gauge) for the connection.
2. Identify the "positive" (+) and "negative" (-) terminals on both the speakers and your amplifier.
3. Using the speaker wire, connect the RED "positive" (+) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the RED "positive" (+) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
4. Connect the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
5. Repeat the above steps for connecting all the remaining speakers to their appropriate amplifier channels.
6. Make sure that no bare wires from any of the connections touch any other terminals, as this could cause a short and damage your equipment.
Note: The Klipsch Reference Premiere models RP-160M have dual binding posts. If you are using a single wire connection, the terminal connecting bar should remain in place. If you are using a bi-wire or bi-amp connection, the terminal connecting bar must be removed. Please refer to your receiver's manual for further instructions.
It is important to note that Klipsch speakers are highly efficient and can operate easily on a wide variety of amplifiers. However, it is recommended to check with your dealer or amplifier manual to ensure that your particular amplifier is best suited for your application.
Please refer to the operational manual for additional information and diagrams on speaker placement and installation.
