To connect your laptop to the BenQ MW870UST projector, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your laptop and the projector are both powered off.
2. Locate the HDMI or VGA port on your laptop. Most laptops have either an HDMI or VGA port for video output.
3. Connect one end of the appropriate video cable (HDMI or VGA) to the corresponding port on your laptop.
4. Locate the HDMI or VGA input port on the back of the projector. It should be labeled accordingly.
5. Connect the other end of the video cable to the HDMI or VGA input port on the projector.
6. Power on the projector and wait for it to fully start up.
7. Power on your laptop and wait for it to boot up.
8. On your laptop, press the appropriate key combination (e.g., Windows key + P on Windows laptops) to open the display settings.
9. Select the desired display mode, such as "Duplicate" to show the same content on both the laptop screen and the projector, or "Extend" to use the projector as an extended display.
10. Adjust the projector's focus and keystone settings as needed to ensure a clear and properly aligned image.
