To clean the fondue pot, first unplug it from the outlet and allow it to cool completely. Wash the fondue pot, fondue ring, and forks in hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not wash or immerse the temperature control probe or cord in water. Do not use steel wool to clean the magnetic contacts. The nonstick cooking surface can be lightly brushed with vegetable oil and heated at setting #4 for up to 5 minutes to condition it before first use. Wipe away excess oil.
