The frequency of cleaning or replacing the filters in the NuWave OxyPure Air Purifier depends on the specific filter and its usage. Here is a general guideline:
1. Stainless Steel Pre-Filter: This filter is washable and reusable for up to 20 years. It should be cleaned at least once every two months, or more frequently if there is heavy dust accumulation.
2. Bio-Guard™ Filter: This filter is also washable and reusable for up to 20 years. It should be cleaned every 3 to 6 months for optimal performance.
3. Ozone Emission Removal Filter: This filter is not washable and should be replaced every 20 years.
4. HEPA/Activated Carbon Combo Filter: This filter is not washable and should be replaced every 5 years, depending on the usage environment.
Please refer to the "Cleaning the Filters" section in the user manual for detailed instructions on how to clean and replace each filter. Additionally, the OxyPure has indicator lights that will illuminate when it's time to clean or replace the filters.
