To charge the battery pack for the Midland LXT500VP3 two-way radios, you can use the AC adapter included in the package. Here are the steps to charge the battery pack:
1. Place the rechargeable battery packs in the radios.
2. Connect the AC adapter into an AC wall outlet.
3. Insert the AC adapter plug into the radio charge jack.
4. Place the units into the desktop charger slot.
5. The LED indicator on the desktop charger will light up in red, indicating that the charging function is active.
6. It is recommended to charge the battery pack for at least 12 hours with the radio turned off to ensure full charging.
7. Once the charge time expires, remove the radios from the charger.
Note: Only use the provided NiMH battery pack and AC adapter for charging. Do not attempt to charge alkaline batteries or any other batteries not specified in the manual, as it may cause damage to the radio.
