To connect the Polk Audio S35 Signature Series Center Channel Speaker to your system, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the wire: Strip 1/2" (12.7mm) of insulation from each of the two conductors of the wire to expose the bare metal. Twist each of the individual conductors into single unfrayed strands.
2. Identify the terminals: One of the terminals on the rear of the speaker is red (+) and the other is black (-).
3. Connect the wire: Connect the wire from the positive (+) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the red (+) terminal on the speaker. Connect the wire from the negative (-) terminal of your amplifier or receiver to the black (-) terminal on the speaker. Make sure to maintain consistency with the wire connections.
4. Secure the wire: Use the binding posts on the speaker to secure the wire. Unscrew the binding post cap and insert the bare wire into the hole near the base of the binding post. Do not insert the insulated part of the wire into the hole. Tighten the binding post cap until it seats firmly with the wire, but do not over tighten.
5. Optional connectors: If you prefer, you can use banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare wire as connectors for your speaker wires. Follow the instructions provided with your chosen connectors for proper installation.
6. Repeat for other speakers: If you have additional speakers in your system, repeat the above steps to connect them to your amplifier or receiver.
Note: It is recommended to refer to the user manual for your specific amplifier or receiver for any additional setup instructions or configurations.
