To program the Retevis RT5 Walkie Talkies, you will need to use the programming cable and software provided. Here are the steps to program the radios:
1. Install the programming software on your computer. The software can be downloaded from the Retevis website or provided on a CD with the radios.
2. Connect the programming cable to your computer and the radio. The programming cable should have a USB connector on one end and a connector that fits into the radio's accessory jack on the other end.
3. Open the programming software and select the correct COM port for the programming cable.
4. Read the current settings from the radio by clicking on the "Read" or "Get" button in the software.
5. Make the desired changes to the frequency, channel, CTCSS/DCS codes, and other settings in the software.
6. Once you have made the changes, click on the "Write" or "Program" button in the software to write the new settings to the radio.
7. Disconnect the programming cable from the radio and turn on the radio to test the new settings.
