To change the channel on the Cobra PX650 walkie talkies, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the walkie talkie is turned on by turning the ON/OFF xxxx clockwise.
2. During standby mode, turn the Channel/Privacy Code Selection xxxx one step to prompt the current channel number.
3. After the current channel number is prompted, turn the Channel/Privacy Code Selection xxxx clockwise or counterclockwise to select a new channel.
4. When the desired channel is selected, choose one of the following options:
- Turn the Channel/Privacy Code Selection xxxx clockwise or counterclockwise to change to a different channel.
- Press the Talk button to enter the new setting and return to standby mode.
- Do not press any buttons or turn the Channel/Privacy Code Selection xxxx for 6 seconds to stay on the current channel.
Note: Both walkie talkies need to be tuned to the same channel in order to communicate with each other. Refer to the frequency allocation charts on page 16 of the user guide for more information.
