To connect your Acoustic Audio PSW400-10 subwoofer to your receiver, you have a few options depending on the available connections on your receiver.
Option 1: Connection with Audio Cable (recommended)
- Ensure that your receiver has a Subwoofer Out jack.
- Locate the subwoofer output jack on the back of your receiver.
- Using a standard audio cable, connect the subwoofer output on the back of your receiver to the Line-In jack on the back of the subwoofer.
- If your receiver only has one subwoofer out jack, you may need to use a Y splitter adapter (included with most models) to connect both left and right channels to the subwoofer.
Option 2: Connection with Speaker Wire
- Connect speaker wires from the receiver's front left and right speaker outputs to the subwoofer's Speaker Level-In connections.
- Connect the left channel to the left input and the right channel to the right input.
- If your receiver has speaker B outputs, you can connect your main speakers to those outputs for simultaneous audio playback through the main speakers and the subwoofer.
- Ensure proper signal polarity by connecting the red wire to the red terminal and the black wire to the black terminal.
Option 3: Connection with LFE
- Use this option if your receiver has an LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) output.
- Connect the LFE output on the receiver to the LFE input on the back of the subwoofer using a double-insert RCA cable.
- Connect speaker wires from the receiver's front left and right speaker outputs to the subwoofer's speaker inputs.
- Connect the left channel to the left input and the right channel to the right input.
- Ensure proper signal polarity by connecting the red wire to the red terminal and the black wire to the black terminal.
Note: It is important to use only one of the above connection options at a time. Choose the option that best suits your receiver's available connections and follow the corresponding wiring diagram provided in the manual.
