To connect your Acoustic Audio PSW250-6 subwoofer to your home theater receiver, you have a few options depending on the available connections on your receiver.
Option 1: Connection with Audio Cable (recommended)
1. Check if your receiver has a Subwoofer Out jack. This is typically found on receivers with digital decoding.
2. Make sure the Subwoofer Out on your receiver is turned on.
3. Locate the subwoofer output jack on the back of your receiver.
4. Using a standard audio cable, connect the subwoofer output on the back of your receiver to the Line-In jack on the back of the subwoofer.
5. If your receiver only has one subwoofer out jack, you may need a Y splitter adapter to connect both the left and right channels to the subwoofer.
Option 2: Connection with Speaker Wire
1. Connect speaker wires from the front left and right speaker outputs on your receiver to the Speaker Level-In connections on the subwoofer.
2. Connect the left channel to the left input and the right channel to the right input on the subwoofer.
3. If your receiver has speaker B outputs, you can connect your main speakers to those outputs and connect the main speakers to the corresponding inputs on the subwoofer. This will send the audio signal to the main speakers while funneling the low bass frequencies to the subwoofer.
Option 3: Connection with LFE
1. Connect the LFE output on your receiver to the LFE input on the back of the subwoofer using a double insert RCA cable.
2. Split the RCA cable into a white side and a red side. Use either side, both will work.
3. Connect speaker wires from the front left and right speaker outputs on your receiver to the Speaker Level-In connections on the subwoofer.
4. Connect the left channel to the left input and the right channel to the right input on the subwoofer.
Note: Make sure to maintain proper signal polarity by connecting the red wire to the red terminal and the black wire to the black terminal.
