To connect your Acoustic Audio PSW300-8 subwoofer to your receiver, you have a few options depending on the available connections on your receiver. Here are the step-by-step instructions for each option:
Option 1: Connection with Audio Cable (recommended)
1. Make sure your receiver has a Subwoofer Out jack.
2. Locate the subwoofer output jack on the back of your receiver.
3. Using a standard audio cable, connect the subwoofer output on the back of your receiver to the Line-In jack on the back of the subwoofer.
4. If your receiver has only one subwoofer out jack, you may need to use a Y splitter adapter to connect both the left and right channels to the Line-In jack on the subwoofer.
Option 2: Connection with Speaker Wire
1. Connect speaker wires from the receiver's front left and right speaker outputs to the Speaker-In terminals on the back of the subwoofer.
2. Connect the left channel speaker wire to the left input terminal and the right channel speaker wire to the right input terminal on the subwoofer.
3. If your receiver has speaker B outputs, you can connect your main speakers to those outputs and connect the subwoofer to the speaker-level inputs on the subwoofer. This will send the audio signal to the main speakers while funneling the low bass frequencies to the subwoofer.
Option 3: Connection with LFE
1. Connect the LFE output on your receiver to the LFE input on the back of the subwoofer using a double insert RCA cable.
2. Connect speaker wires from the receiver's front left and right speaker outputs to the Speaker-In terminals on the back of the subwoofer.
3. Connect the left channel speaker wire to the left input terminal and the right channel speaker wire to the right input terminal on the subwoofer.
Note: Make sure to maintain proper signal polarity by connecting the red wire to the red terminal and the black wire to the black terminal.

Remember to turn off the power to your receiver's power supply before connecting the subwoofer to your system.
