To adjust the input levels on the Zoom H4n Pro 4-Track Portable Recorder, please follow these steps:
1. Power on the recorder by pressing and holding the power button until the display turns on.
2. Use the scroll wheel to navigate to the desired recording mode (Stereo, 4CH, MTR, or Audio Interface).
3. Press the MENU button to enter the menu system.
4. Use the scroll wheel to navigate to the "Input" menu and press the scroll wheel to select it.
5. In the "Input" menu, you will see options for adjusting the input levels for each channel. Use the scroll wheel to select the desired channel (L, R, 1, or 2).
6. Once you have selected the channel, press the scroll wheel to enter the input level adjustment screen.
7. Use the scroll wheel to adjust the input level. The level meter on the display will show the current input level.
8. It is recommended to set the input level so that the peak indicator does not light up frequently during normal recording. This will help prevent distortion in the recorded audio.
9. After adjusting the input level, press the MENU button to exit the menu system.
10. You can now start recording with the adjusted input levels.
Please note that it is important to monitor the input levels during recording to ensure they are not too high or too low. Adjusting the input levels appropriately will help you achieve optimal audio quality.
