To connect your Samsung HW-S50B All-in-One Soundbar to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Check the available audio output ports on your TV. The most common ports are HDMI ARC, optical, and HDMI (without ARC).
2. If your TV has an HDMI ARC port, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI ARC port on the soundbar to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. This will allow for both audio playback and control of the soundbar using your TV remote.
3. If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC port but has an optical audio output, use an optical cable to connect the optical audio output on the TV to the optical input on the soundbar.
4. If your TV has neither HDMI ARC nor optical audio output, you can use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI output on your TV to the HDMI input on the soundbar. However, in this case, you will need to use a separate remote to control the soundbar.
5. Once the physical connections are made, power on both the soundbar and the TV.
6. On your TV, go to the audio settings menu and select the appropriate audio output option. If using HDMI ARC, select the ARC option. If using optical, select the optical output.
7. On the soundbar, press the Source button on the remote control or the top panel to select the input source corresponding to the connection you made (e.g., HDMI ARC or optical).
8. Adjust the volume on the soundbar using the volume buttons on the remote control or the top panel.
