To connect your laptop to the NEC VT491 projector, follow these steps:
1. Make sure both your laptop and the projector are powered off.
2. Locate the video output port on your laptop. This is typically a VGA or HDMI port.
3. Connect one end of the appropriate video cable (VGA or HDMI) to the video output port on your laptop.
4. Locate the corresponding video input port on the projector. In the case of the NEC VT491, it has a VGA input port.
5. Connect the other end of the video cable to the VGA input port on the projector.
6. Power on the projector and wait for it to warm up.
7. Power on your laptop.
8. On your laptop, go to the display settings and select the appropriate display mode. This may vary depending on your operating system, but usually, you can access display settings by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Display settings" or "Screen resolution."
9. In the display settings, select the option to extend or duplicate the display to the projector.
