The Retevis RT5 portable two-way radio can be programmed without a computer using the keypad. Here are the steps to program the radio:
1. Turn on the radio by rotating the power xxxx clockwise.
2. Press the VFO/MR button to enter the frequency mode.
3. Use the keypad to enter the desired frequency or channel number.
4. Press the MENU button to enter the menu mode.
5. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the menu options.
6. Use the keypad to select and adjust the desired settings, such as squelch level, transmit power, CTCSS/DCS codes, etc.
7. Press the MENU button to save the settings and exit the menu mode.
8. Press the PTT button to transmit and communicate with other radios on the same frequency and settings.
