To install the Rockville CC65T 6.5-inches Ceiling Speakers, you will need a drywall knife, a level, a Phillips head screwdriver, and a flat head screwdriver. Here is a step-by-step guide for installation:
1. Using the included template, cut an opening in the drywall. Make sure to leave at least 1/2" between a wall stud and the speaker cutout to allow the locking tabs to swivel into place.
2. To remove the grille, insert a flat head screwdriver into the space between the grill and the inner lip of the speaker housing. Gently lift the grill out, being careful not to bend it.
3. Connect the speaker wires and set the taps to the desired power setting. The tap wattage options range from 2.5w to 20w. Refer to the diagram on the manual for tap settings.
4. Insert the speaker into the cutout, ensuring proper polarity.
5. xxxx down each of the four Phillips head screws. The locking tabs will swivel into place and secure the unit to the rear surface of the drywall.
6. Use the adhesive strips provided to secure the grille back in place. Gently push the grille onto the speaker face.
