When positioning your Triangle Borea BR03 bookshelf speakers, follow these guidelines for optimal sound reproduction:
1. Avoid rooms with excessive reverberation, such as tiled rooms without carpets or curtains.
2. Ensure that your listening position is not too close to the speakers. Leave a minimum distance of 2 meters.
3. The distance between the speakers should be a minimum of 2 meters to achieve a good stereo effect.
4. If possible, place the speakers in a way that the sound is "diffused" lengthwise within the room.
5. Avoid placing the speakers in corners. They should be at least 40 cm away from the back wall and at least 50 cm from the side walls.
6. Generally, positioning the speakers closer to the rear wall increases the response in the low frequencies but reduces imaging. On the other hand, positioning them farther from the back wall reproduces a wider and deeper sound image. Experiment with different positions to find the best setup for your room.
For home cinema setups, additional guidelines apply. The main speakers should follow the same positioning rules as for stereo installations. The center speaker should be placed along the line formed by the two main speakers. If using a subwoofer, it is recommended to position it between the two main speakers, avoiding corners to prevent unpleasant resonances. Rear speakers should be placed at a height of 1.5 to 2 meters.
