To mount the JBL Professional CBT 100LA-1 Column Loudspeaker on the wall, follow these steps:
1. Run the wiring from the power amplifier to the desired mounting location for the loudspeaker.
2. Attach the wall bracket to the wall using appropriate wall anchors. Ensure that the bracket is straight and use all four xxxx holes for maximum integrity and safety.
3. Mount the speaker bracket to the loudspeaker using the provided M6-15L hardware. For the CBT 100LA-1, there are seven possible mounting positions. Choose the one that best suits your application, ensuring that the hook feature of the speaker bracket is downward.
4. Slide the speaker with the speaker bracket onto the wall bracket, ensuring that the speaker bracket engages with the wall bracket and the hook slot of the speaker bracket drops onto the pivot bolt.
5. Set the tilt angle by sliding the second M6 34mm bolt into one of the holes on top of the wall bracket. The bracket allows for +/- 15 degrees of tilt. Choose the desired angle and tighten both bolts securely.
6. Adjust the side-to-side swivel (pan) aiming angle of the speaker by loosening the top and bottom bolts on the pivot. Once adjusted, tighten the bolts securely.
7. Attach a safety cable to any of the 6 mm inserts on the back of the CBT 100LA-1 cabinet using the provided M6 mm bolt. Attach the other end of the cable to a secondary attachment point on the wall.
8. To discourage tampering with the switch settings, use the provided adhesive switch covers. Peel off the backing from the switch cover and stick it over the switch shaft, aligning the ridge with the recess in the switch shaft.
