To achieve optimal sound reproduction with the Triangle Borea BR02 bookshelf speakers, follow these positioning guidelines:
1. Avoid rooms with excessive reverberation, such as tiled rooms without carpets or curtains.
2. Ensure that your listening position is not too close to the speakers. Leave a minimum distance of 2 meters.
3. The distance between the speakers should be a minimum of 2 meters to create a good stereo effect.
4. If possible, place the speakers in a way that the sound is "diffused" lengthwise within the room.
5. Avoid placing the speakers in corners. They should be at least 40 cm away from the back wall and at least 50 cm from the side walls. Placing them close to the rear wall increases the low-frequency response but reduces imaging. On the other hand, placing them farther from the back wall reproduces a wider and deeper sound image. Experiment with different positions to find the best setup for your room.
For home cinema setups, additional guidelines apply:
1. The main speakers should follow the same positioning rules as for stereo installation.
2. The center speaker should be placed along the line formed by the two main speakers.
3. A subwoofer is highly recommended for reproducing bass effects. Position the subwoofer between the two main speakers if the crossover frequency is below 80 Hz. If the crossover frequency is higher, move the subwoofer closer to the main speakers but avoid placing it in the corner of the room to prevent unpleasant resonances.
4. Rear speakers should be placed at a height of 1.5 to 2 meters to reproduce surround sound. Consider the weight of the speakers when fixing them onto the wall.
Please refer to the user manual for further instructions on configuring your specific installation.
