To mount the JBL CBT 50LA-1 column speaker using the included wall bracket, follow these steps:
1. Run wiring: Run the wiring from the power amplifier to the desired mounting location for the speaker.
2. Attach wall bracket to the wall: Use a level to ensure that the wall bracket is straight, then secure it to the wall using appropriate wall anchors. Use all four xxxx holes for maximum integrity and safety. Make sure the slot feature is at the top.
3. Attach speaker bracket to the speaker: For the CBT 50LA-1, there are three possible mounting positions. Choose the one that best suits your application. Mount the speaker bracket to the speaker using the provided M6-15L pan head bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Ensure that the hook feature of the speaker bracket is downward.
4. Slide speaker with speaker bracket onto wall bracket: Once the wall bracket is attached to the wall and the speaker bracket is attached to the speaker, slide the speaker forward so that the speaker bracket engages into the wall bracket, dropping the hook slot of the speaker bracket onto the pivot bolt (which should already be installed loosely in the wall bracket).
5. Set the tilt angle: Once the speaker is securely nested on the pivot bolt, slide the second M6 34mm bolt into one of the holes on top of the wall bracket to set the tilt angle. The bracket allows for +/-15 degrees of tilt, but extreme tilt angles are not recommended as the speaker may run into the wall.
6. Set the swivel (pan) angle: Loosen the top and bottom bolts on the pivot and adjust the side-to-side swivel (pan) aiming angle of the speaker. Tighten the bolts securely.
7. Secure the angle and swivel settings: Once the desired angle and swivel settings are chosen, tighten both bolts with the provided hardware to secure the settings.
