According to the instruction manual, the Grundig PS 3411 Digital Body Weight Scales have a self-calibration facility. After every energizing, it performs self-calibration which may cause your weight to be measured inaccurately during your first 2 measurements. Therefore, there is no need for manual calibration.
However, if you suspect that your scale is not providing accurate readings, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Make sure the scale is placed on a smooth, flat surface. Uneven or soft surfaces can affect the accuracy of the measurements.
2. Check the batteries. Low battery power can cause inaccurate readings. If the batteries are low on charge, "LO" will appear on the LCD display. Replace the batteries with new ones.
3. Remove any external electromagnetic disturbances near the scale. These disturbances can affect the readings. If an external electromagnetic disturbance is present, remove it and repeat the measurement.
4. If the scale is not functioning properly, you can try resetting it by removing the batteries for 10 seconds and then reinserting them.
If the issue persists and you are unable to get accurate readings, it is recommended to contact the dealer, a service center, or a qualified and authorized person for further assistance or possible repairs.
