To weigh a patient using the chair scale, follow these steps:
1. Place the chair scale on a hard, level, flat surface or low-cut carpet.
2. Turn on the indicator by pressing the ON/OFF key.
3. If needed, press the ZERO key to zero the weight display.
4. Raise the armrests and footrest, and assist the patient to a sitting position.
5. Lower the armrests for patient comfort during weighing and lower the footrest.
6. Ensure that the patient's feet are on the footrest during the weighing operation.
7. Wait for the weight to stabilize, indicated by the annunciator turning on.
8. Read the weight display.
9. If a printer is connected to the scale, press the PRINT key to print a ticket.
10. Raise the armrests and footrest out of the way, and assist the patient out of the chair.
