To adjust the crossover frequency on the Alpine PWE-S8 subwoofer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the crossover frequency adjustment xxxx on the subwoofer. It is labeled as "LP FILTER" on the control panel.
2. Turn the xxxx clockwise to increase the crossover frequency or counterclockwise to decrease it. The available range is from 50Hz to 150Hz.
3. Adjust the crossover frequency to your preference, keeping in mind that lower frequencies will result in deeper bass, while higher frequencies will provide a tighter and more focused bass response.
4. Experiment with different crossover settings to find the one that best suits your listening preferences and the characteristics of your audio system.
Note: It is recommended to start with the crossover frequency set to a neutral position (around 80Hz) and make small adjustments from there to achieve the desired sound. Additionally, refer to your head unit's manual for any crossover settings that may need to be adjusted on the source unit as well.
