To install the Rockford Fosgate T1650 2-Way Coaxial Full Range Speakers, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the negative lead from the battery before starting the installation for safety.
2. Carefully read and understand the instructions provided in the user manual.
3. Run all wires prior to mounting the speakers for easier assembly.
4. Use high-quality connectors to ensure a reliable installation and minimize signal or power loss.
5. Be cautious when drilling or cutting to avoid damaging gas tanks, fuel lines, brake or hydraulic lines, vacuum lines, or electrical wiring.
6. Avoid running wires underneath the vehicle and instead route them inside the vehicle or hull area for better protection.
7. Use rubber or plastic grommets to protect any wires routed through metal, especially the firewall.
8. Determine the mounting location for the speakers, ensuring it is large enough and deep enough for the speaker to fit without obstruction.
9. Refer to the specification chart in the manual to determine the proper diameter hole to cut for your specific speaker model.
10. Mark the locations for the mounting screws and drill the holes using a 1/8" bit.
11. Feed the speaker wires through the cutout and connect them to the speaker terminals, observing proper polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative).
12. For models with slotted holes, fit the speaker into the cutout and install the screws in the slots at the top and bottom. Rotate the speaker to align with the remaining mounting holes and tighten the screws.
13. For models with a trim ring, fit the trim ring over the speaker and mount it into place using four screws.
14. Tighten the screws until the speaker is snug in place to prevent rattling, but avoid over-tightening.
Please refer to the user manual for any additional information or specific instructions related to your installation.
