To set up the Maxonar Lightstrip Pro XS-SLD001 Wireless Light with Alexa, please follow these steps:
1. Choose a name for your "Smart Life" cloud: Before setting up the lightstrip with Alexa, make sure you have the "Smart Life" app installed on your mobile device. Open the app and create an account if you haven't already. Choose a name for your "Smart Life" cloud during the account setup process.
2. Add your illumination and change the name: In the "Smart Life" app, tap on the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Lighting" and then choose "Light Strip" from the list of available devices. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the lightstrip to your Wi-Fi network. You can also change the name of the lightstrip during this process if desired.
3. Enable the "Smart Life" Alexa skill and the "Smart Life" app: Open the Alexa app on your mobile device and go to the Skills & Games section. Search for the "Smart Life" skill and enable it. Link your "Smart Life" account to Alexa by signing in with your account credentials.
4. Signing in and Finding Devices: In the Alexa app, go to the Devices tab and tap on the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Light" and then choose "Other" from the list of available devices. Tap on "Discover Devices" to let Alexa search for your connected lightstrip.
5. Manage your lighting Assisted Commands: Once Alexa has discovered your lightstrip, you can manage its settings and create voice commands. In the Alexa app, go to the Devices tab and select your lightstrip from the list of devices. From here, you can customize the device name, create groups, and set up routines to control your lightstrip with voice commands.
