To connect the Vission AM-160PSW Powered Subwoofer to your car's audio system, follow these steps:
1. Locate the audio output connections on your car's head unit or amplifier. These are typically RCA or speaker wire connections.
2. If your car's head unit or amplifier has RCA output connections, use an RCA cable to connect the subwoofer's RCA input to the corresponding RCA output on your car's head unit or amplifier. Make sure to connect the left and right channels correctly.
3. If your car's head unit or amplifier has speaker wire output connections, you will need to use a line output converter (LOC) to convert the speaker wire output to RCA. Connect the speaker wire output from your car's head unit or amplifier to the input terminals of the LOC. Then, connect the RCA output of the LOC to the subwoofer's RCA input.
4. Once the subwoofer is connected to the audio system, connect the power and ground wires to the appropriate terminals on the subwoofer. Make sure to use the correct gauge wire for the power and ground connections.
5. If desired, connect the remote turn-on wire from your car's head unit or amplifier to the remote turn-on terminal on the subwoofer. This will allow the subwoofer to turn on and off with the rest of the audio system.
6. Adjust the settings on your car's head unit or amplifier to ensure the subwoofer is receiving the appropriate signal. This may include adjusting the crossover frequency, gain control, and other settings.
7. Finally, test the subwoofer by playing music through your car's audio system. Adjust the subwoofer volume and other settings as needed to achieve the desired sound quality.
