To connect the Fluance SXHTB-BK Elite High Definition Surround Sound speakers to your home theater system, you will need speaker wire and a receiver or amplifier. Here are the steps to properly wire and connect the speakers:
1. Cut the insulation of the speaker wire to reveal 0.39 - 0.78 inches (1-2cm) of exposed wire on both ends.
2. Rotate the positive and negative terminal on the back of the speaker counter clockwise to unlock.
3. Insert the positive/negative end of the exposed wire into the unlocked positive/negative terminal of the speaker.
4. Rotate the positive and negative terminals clockwise to lock the exposed wire into the terminal.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each speaker.
6. Insert the positive/negative exposed wire of the other end into the positive/negative terminal of your receiver or amplifier.
7. Repeat step 6 for each speaker, ensuring that the positive/negative wires are connected to the corresponding terminals on the receiver or amplifier.
8. Once all the speakers are connected, turn on your home theater system and adjust the volume and equalizer settings as desired.
Note: It is recommended to use 18-gauge or better speaker wire for optimal sound quality. Make sure to double-check the polarity (positive/negative) of the speaker wire connections to ensure proper audio reproduction.
