Installing the transducer for the Lowrance HOOK Reveal 7 fish finder is a straightforward process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Start by selecting a suitable location on the transom of your boat to mount the transducer. It should be in a position where it will have a clear view of the water and will not be obstructed by the boat's hull or other equipment.
2. Clean the selected mounting area on the transom using a mild detergent and water. Ensure that it is free from any dirt, debris, or grease.
3. Apply a thin layer of the included transducer mounting adhesive to the back of the transducer.
4. Press the transducer firmly onto the cleaned and prepared mounting area. Make sure it is aligned properly and level with the waterline.
5. Use the provided stainless steel screws to secure the transducer in place. Tighten the screws firmly but avoid over-tightening, as it may damage the transducer or the transom.
6. Connect the transducer cable to the back of the fish finder display unit. Ensure that the connection is secure and tight.
7. Route the transducer cable neatly along the boat's transom and secure it using cable ties or clamps to prevent it from getting tangled or damaged.
