To install the Raymarine Axiom 7 Fish Finder GPS, please follow the steps below:
1. Start by selecting a suitable location for mounting the display unit. Ensure that it is easily accessible and provides a clear view for comfortable operation.
2. Use the included mounting hardware and instructions to securely mount the display unit. You can choose between flush mounting or surface mounting, depending on your preference and the available space on your boat's helm.
3. Connect the power/data cable to the back of the display unit. The cable should be routed and secured properly to avoid any interference or damage.
4. Install the transducer according to the type included with your model. For the Axiom 7 DV, the transom mount transducer (CPT-100DVS) is provided. Follow the instructions in the user guide to properly install and position the transducer.
5. Connect the transducer cable to the display unit. Ensure a secure connection and route the cable away from any potential sources of interference.
6. Once the physical installation is complete, power on the unit and follow the on-screen prompts to set up the initial settings and preferences.
7. If you wish to connect the Axiom 7 to an iOS or Android device, make sure you have the compatible Raymarine apps installed on your device. You can then establish a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection between the Axiom 7 and your mobile device for additional functionality.
