To install the PowerBass XL-82M Marine Coaxial Speakers, follow these general installation tips:
1. Turn off the audio system and disconnect the negative lead from the battery for safety.
2. Run all necessary wiring before mounting the speakers.
3. Use high-quality connectors to minimize signal or power loss and prevent corrosion.
4. Be cautious when drilling or cutting to avoid damaging gas tanks, fuel lines, or electrical wiring.
5. Keep speaker wires behind cover for protection from environmental elements.
6. Avoid running speaker wires near the vessel's electrical system to prevent noise interference.
7. Observe correct speaker polarity for optimal sound output.
8. Leave some slack in the speaker wire to prevent wire stretching or connection issues.
9. Protect the speakers during installation and keep them in their original package until ready to mount.
10. Follow the specific mounting instructions provided in the manual, ensuring a level and watertight installation surface.
11. Use the supplied mounting template to mark the hole for cutting.
12. Drill pilot holes and countersink them to prevent fiberglass cracking.
