To adjust the audio levels on the Zoom Q8n-4k Handy Video Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Press the MENU button on the recorder to enter the menu.
2. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Audio" option and press the REC button to select it.
3. In the Audio menu, you will find various options for adjusting the audio levels. The most important ones are:
a. Input Level: This option allows you to adjust the input level of the built-in microphones or external audio sources. Use the arrow buttons to select the desired input (e.g., Built-in Mic, External Mic) and press the REC button. Then, use the arrow buttons to adjust the input level and press the REC button again to confirm.
b. Auto Gain: If you enable this option, the recorder will automatically adjust the input level to optimize the audio recording. Use the arrow buttons to select "Auto Gain" and press the REC button to toggle it on or off.
c. Limiter: Enabling the limiter helps prevent distortion by automatically reducing the input level when it exceeds a certain threshold. Use the arrow buttons to select "Limiter" and press the REC button to toggle it on or off.
4. Once you have adjusted the audio levels to your preference, press the MENU button to exit the menu.
