To set up the Calvas GF08 Mini Remote Locator GPS Tracker, follow these steps:
1. Insert the SIM card: Remove the back cover of the tracker and carefully insert the SIM card into the designated slot. Make sure the SIM card is inserted correctly.
2. Power on the tracker: After inserting the SIM card, power on the tracker by pressing and holding the power button until the indicator lights up. The tracker will automatically send a text message to remind you to charge it if the power is low.
3. Connect to GPS: On your smartphone, go to the ArcMap GPS toolbar and select "GPS Connection Setup." Choose "Connect to GPS Receiver" from the menu. Set the data bits, stop bits, parity, and baud rate according to the manual that came with your GPS device. Select "OK" to establish the GPS connection.
4. Query location: You can send a text message from your mobile phone to the alarm locator and query its location. This allows you to monitor and control the target location in real-time, whether it's placed in a car, a bag, or a pocket.
5. Charging the tracker: The Calvas GF08 Mini Remote Locator GPS Tracker has an automated charging capability. When connected to a power source, it will automatically send a text message to remind you to charge it if the power is low. The charging device will turn on and keep charging once the power is turned off. Note that the SIM card also needs to be charged.
