To program channels on the Midland GXT1000VP4 two-way radio, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the radio by pressing and holding the Power button until you hear a beep and the display turns on.
2. Press the Menu button to enter the menu mode. The current channel number will be displayed.
3. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to scroll through the menu options until you reach the "Channel" option. Press the Menu button to select it.
4. The current channel number will be displayed. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to select the desired channel number.
5. Press the Menu button to confirm the channel selection.
6. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to scroll through the menu options until you reach the "Privacy Codes" option. Press the Menu button to select it.
7. The current privacy code will be displayed. Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to select the desired privacy code or set it to "0" for no privacy code.
8. Press the Menu button to confirm the privacy code selection.
9. Repeat steps 4-8 to program additional channels with different channel numbers and privacy codes.
10. Once you have finished programming the channels, press the Menu button to exit the menu mode.
